Hey Folks! This weekend I moderated panels at my 4th Better Discourse Conference, put on by Mythinformed MKE. I can't say enough good things about what these guys are doing. They bring together heterodox thinkers to have conversations and debate onstage and the attendees they draw from all over the country are some of the most thoughtful, interesting folks to talk with. This in-person fellowship is so important, especially in today's world. I'm very grateful for what they're doing.
There won't be a LIVE episode of Popped Culture tonight because my husband and I are finally moving! But we will be back tomorrow, Thursday, at 6pm CST with a new Deprogrammed interview with Ryan Kinel from RK Outpost that is so much fun! Ryan is a super interesting dude who talks about his history in the military and how woke ideology has been infiltrating everything - but also how it's going to change. Join us tomorrow!
Here are some photos I was able to snap at #BetterDiscourseEvent with Mike Harlow, James Lindsay, Blaire White, Josh Slocum, Libby Emmons, Colin Wright, Lauren Southern, Nicki Clyne, Peter Feliciano and Savanah Hernandez:
Join us at 2pm CST on Thursday, July 17th for a new Deprogrammed with Keri Smith interview with Paul Brown of Wasson Watch Company.
I had the great pleasure of interviewing Paul about how his Christian faith informed his response to the recent online rise in antisemitism and self-proclaimed fascism among some who claim to be on the right. We get into the explosive, ugly and hysterical reaction he got from those often termed the ‘woke right’ when he simply said Nazis and groypers are bad. 🤷♀
We also discuss the situation in Israel and Gaza - for perhaps the first time on Deprogrammed.
